Why Cruelty Free and Vegan?

Cruelty free makeup means that at no stage in the production has the product or ingredients been tested on animals, nor have they paid a third party to do this on their behalf.  Animal exploitation in the beauty industry (and indeed others too) is being exposed more and more as time goes on. The increase of people opting to change their products to ones that have been certified "cruelly free" is on the up and will continue to rise as they become more and more educated on the matter.  Vegan makeup means that not only is the product cruelty free but also contains no part of the animal in their ingredients. Not all cruelty free brands are 100% vegan so double check if you're unsure.

I am incredibly proud that all of my kit is comprised only with cruelty free and vegan friendly makeup. This doesn't mean compromising with quality! I have done extensive research into everything I have in my kit to ensure that I have the best performing makeup for your special occasion.

What are the benefits?

There are many key benefits to the client by having a kit with no animal by products. Not only do they have less harmful ingredients but in most cases are paraben and gluten free which is great if you have sensitive skin, suffer from celiac disease or have other skin conditions. This also means that performance wise, vegan beauty products are by far superior.

It's reassuring to find so many brands who choose to not test their products or ingredients on animals at any stage of production, a handful of those brands are 100% vegan too, such as Kat Von D and you'll be surprised to find that most of Charlotte Tilbury is too.  These and many more are all integral to making a change in the future of makeup production.  Below is a handful of products, both high end and high street which I personally love!

Other brands to look out for are Tarte Cosmetics, The Body Shop, Anastasia Beverley Hills, Urban Decay, Cover FX, Hourglass, Too Faced, Smashbox and Aveda (despite being owned by Estee Lauder neither are tested on animals). B cosmetics to name but a few!
